Renting out your apartment is not always easy and it does not always have to be associated with advantages. Patrik and Maria tell us their story, why they bought an apartment in Nerja, what it was like to rent it out themselves and finally hand over the entire procedure and responsibility to a rental company.

Patrik and Maria live in Jönköping, Sweden with three children and where life seems like most others. They both work full-time and spend their free time on golf, decorating and skiing, which are interests of the whole family. They also like to travel and have therefore been around many countries and cities in the world. But it was first in 2017 that they got to know Nerja for the first time and they both say:

- We both felt immediately, here we have found home.

They continue to wax lyrical about Nerja's beautiful architecture and views of the sea. They also unanimously say that there is something special about the surroundings and the climate that means that once you have been there, "you always want to go back". So already after the third visit they had become owners of an apartment. At first, when they were not in Nerja themselves, they rented out the apartment privately. But quite quickly they realized that time was not quite enough. In addition, they wanted to reach out to a wider customer base. So they started looking around for a rental company. They were in contact with a few, but it was only when they came into contact with Nerja Rental and Emil Svensson that they felt they had found the intermediary they wanted to work with. Both say emphatically.

- Hiring Nerja rental has been very smooth. In a month's time, from the time we decided to collaborate, we were up and running and the first guest arrived. It feels safe that it is a Swedish company because it is easier for us to understand each other and have a dialogue. Another security is also that they have proven that they rent out on a large scale and are always available for any questions. Since they are not that big, they also spend a lot of time marketing our property. In addition, Emil is very accommodating, cares about his customers and therefore he always prioritizes us. So with hindsight, we have never regretted our choice, when we left the biggest investment of our lives in his hands.
